Eden Rise Pharmacy is pleased to be offering the Shingles vaccine.


Shingles (or Herpes zoster) is caused by the reactivation of the varicella zoster virus which causes varicella (chicken pox) disease. Complications include chronic nerve pain which can last years, and eye problems.


We are offering FREE Shingles vaccines via the National Immunisation Program, for the following eligible groups:

- First Nations Australians aged 50 years and older

- All adults aged 65 years and older

- Immunocompromised adults aged 18 years and older with certain immunocompromising conditions.

The course is made up of 2 doses:

- Immunocompetent people - 2 to 6 months apart

- Immunocompromised people - 1 to 2 months apart
